CivisOur Story

CIVIS · THE COLLECTION

The name comes from Rome.

Four properties kept by the same hand, from Porta Pia to the Valle d'Itria.

Civis Romanus sum.

It was the most powerful declaration of citizenship in the ancient world: to be a civis meant not merely inhabiting a city, but belonging to it. That is where the name comes from, and how we treat those who arrive: as citizens for the length of the stay, not as tourists passing through. In practice it comes down to one thing: the phone is answered by the person who runs the property, every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Italian time, on each property's own line.

THE ROUTE

Set out from Rome, arrived in the Valle d'Itria.

The collection grows one address at a time: first the Lilium at Porta Pia, then the Imperial at Pinciano, then Trullux and Il Mulino at Ceglie Messapica. We announce the next stop only once there is a street and a number, not before.

  1. Shared quality

Maintenance, housekeeping and welcome do not change between a boutique hotel and an apartment in a small town.

  2. Distinct identity

Every property follows the place it stands in. No format to replicate, region after region.

  3. Honesty

The photographs are genuine, and the next stops remain just that until an address is signed.

  4. Privacy

Guest privacy is built in: hotel-grade smart TVs erase all data at every switch-off, and guest data stays where it belongs. In every property, always.

  5. Security

Personal access codes, in-room safes, alarm and cameras where needed: every property is protected by design, without making a show of it.

ONE SINGLE STANDARD

Four properties, each with its own character.

Guests staying three days who want breakfast ready choose the Lilium. Those staying a week who want space choose the Imperial. Those seeking the countryside take Trullux, those wanting the village on their doorstep take Il Mulino. What does not change is what a photograph cannot show: how the properties are kept, what we write in the descriptions, how quickly we answer. The standard is held by people: the areas we are hiring for are listed under Work With Us.

THE COLLECTION

Where to start.

Reception and breakfast at the Lilium, full independence at the Imperial, countryside and a pool at Trullux, the heart of the village at Il Mulino. Booking through the property's official channel means no portal commission.
